Messaging
The Messaging Settings section of the SMS Gateway application allows you to configure various messaging options. These settings help define prompts for received messages and set up auto retry functionality for message campaigns. User settings can override these settings.
📟 SIM
Manage how messages are handled when sending through your device’s SIM card.
Wait For Confirmation: When enabled, the app waits for confirmation from the mobile network operator before sending the next message. Disabling this can speed up sending but may increase the chance of failures. User can override this setting.
🔄 Auto Retry
Manage the auto-retry functionality for message campaigns.
Enabled: If enabled, users can also enable auto-retry.
Max: The maximum number of retry attempts users can set. Users cannot set a value higher than this.
Change SIM or Sender ID After: If enabled, the system will switch to the most successful SIM or Sender ID after the specified number of failed attempts.
🆔 Identify Phone Number
Allows automatic identification of phone numbers using contact fields. Shows up information stored in contact fields instead of just displaying the phone number.
Enabled: If enabled, users can also enable phone number identification.
Contact Field Tag: The contact field tag to use for identifying phone numbers. For example, if the user has received a message from +1234567890 and there is a contact in their contact list having this number with the
namefield set toJohn Doe, then it will showJohn Doealong with the phone number on the messages page. It defaults tonameinitially. User can override this setting.
🆘 Prompts
Set system-wide keywords for triggering actions based on incoming messages. User-specific settings will take precedence over these settings.
Blacklist: Keywords to add a number to the blacklist.
Whitelist: Keywords to remove a number from the blacklist.
Subscribe: Keywords to subscribe a number to the contact list.
Unsubscribe: Keywords to unsubscribe a number from the contact list.
Notify: If enabled, it will send an SMS notification to the user when a keyword is triggered.
